Excellent holiday accommodation with absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We really have enjoyed coming back to such a quiet and relaxing place after our days out. Ideal base for exploring the several National Trust properties in the area. PS Red Kite spotted on the A339 Basingstoke Rd at Herriard. Great place to stay; lots of clear skies enabling us to see Jupiter’s moons. Enjoyable visit to the Watercress Line steam railway, Gilbert White’s house and gardens and Chawton Woods for mushrooms. Found the Yew Tree pub good for food and beer.

Excellent base for exploring Hampshire and the South Downs. Isle of Wight perfectly ‘do-able’ as a day trip. An excellent base for Goodwood and Cowdray Park near Midhurst well worth a visit. Wonderful walking countryside and wonderful to see all the village churches open and used by passers by. The Bell in Alresford is one of the best for Sunday lunch anywhere. Thankyou.

Had a superb week of walks – dogs tired out each evening! Really good comfortable holiday cottage and well equipped for cooking evening meals. Had two lunches out, The Bush at Ovington was excellent and dog friendly as was the Wykeham Arms in Winchester.

Reviews 2008We did love it at The Barn and the surrounding areas are idyllic, it must be lovely in the summer. The holiday cottage does you great credit, beautifully furnished and equipped, certainly the best we have ever been to and we are talking about returning, perhaps next Christmas. We would happily do all the walks again, but still loads to do in your part of Hampshire. We look forward to seeing you again.

We have great memories of our holiday at your lovely 'Barn' cottage, and will certainly recommend it to others. Overall exceeded expectations! It is usually the photos that interest us, and an inkling that the place will be clean and something special. From the website, your property seemed to be both, and was, as it turned out. It was very nice to have a few basic supplies left for us, even though it is self-catering. All in all, we had a lovely time. Thank you for all you did to make it so.
