The Barn, a quintessentially English holiday cottage for Hampshire and the South Downs   A peaceful rural holiday cottage The Barn is a well-presented holiday cottage (4* self-catering accommodation Enjoy England) providing comfortable and cosy accommodation for 2 adults and 2 young children in the village of Medstead within rural Hampshire. Situated between Alton and Alresford it enjoys panoramic views towards Winchester and across Hampshire's South Downs. Located on the periphery of The South Downs, the surrounding countryside offers ideal walking and cycling oppportunities with a good network of footpaths and bridleways. Clay shooting, fly fishing, horse riding and golf can be organised within a 15 minute drive of the self-catering holiday cottage. The holiday cottage is situated in 10 acres of private grounds, including wild flower meadows and ancient woodland, which are a mass of bluebells in the spring. Situated adjacent to the main farm house The Barn remains very private with its own entrance, off road parking space, private garden terrace with BBQ and seating. Children are free to roam across the paddocks and explore the woods and are welcome to feed and collect eggs from our flock of friendly bantams. Stabling facilities and grazing available.   A bed and breakfast tariff is sometimes available.
